Good luck if you need a plumber or a roofer on Monday.
Chances are they will be out hunting with 750,000 other people on the opening day of Pennsylvania's two-week general deer season. Schools tack on the unofficial state holiday to students' Thanksgiving holiday weekend.
The National Weather Service is forecasting a 50 percent chance of rain Monday and Tuesday with temperatures around 50 degrees. There's a lesser chance on Wednesday.
"I think I'm going to sell a lot of umbrellas," said Jeff Rock, Chambersburg store manager of the SportsmansLiquidation.com . "It makes the day go a lot longer."
Kevin Baer of Chambersburg was taking a look at the camouflage umbrellas that fit above a tree stand. He was shopping last minute Wednesday for rain gear.
Like many hunters he's sticking with his regular pre-season routine.
"I'm doing the same thing," said Baer, who scouted the state gamelands in Juniata and Perry counties.
