While I got ya, here are nine things and one crazy prediction:
1. And just like that, Texas went from being back to being blah. Missouri made the Longhorns look very ordinary, which — news flash for all of us — they are. Kind of scary to think that starting with the appearance against Alabama in the national championship game in January 2010, Texas is 11-11 in its last 22 games.
What's worse: those 11 teams Mack Brown beat have a collective 56-66 record, and only four — 8-5 Texas Tech and 10-4 Nebraska last year, and 7-3 BYU and 5-4 Iowa State this season — have winning records. That would be even more pause for concern, if not for a rapidly improving defense, good coaches and talented freshmen everywhere you look. But Texas could lose its last three if the offense doesn't improve quickly.
