The origins of The Nation of Domination go back to the United States Wrestling Association (USWA), but no one gives a rat’s ass about that so we will just focus on the WWE incarnation. The main man of the faction was Faarooq (Ron Simmons). Along with manager Clarence Mason, the Nation of Domination was intended to resemble the Nation of Islam and the Black Panther Party. This included “The Nation Salute” which was each member standing at attention and raising their right fist in the air.
The Nation of Domination was comprised of D’Lo Brown, Crush, Savio Vega, and PG-13 (yes they did exist). Eventually Faarooq would reboot the faction and only kept D’Lo from the original lineup. The group would go on to add Kama Mustafa, and former rival Ahmed Johnson. Due to injury, Ahmed Johnson was replaced by a young upstart named Rocky Maivia who we would hear a lot from in the years to come. The last addition to the Nation of Domination was “World’s Strongest Man” Mark Henry.
