Last Wednesday 25 members competed in a Single Stableford match. The A Grade winner was Frank Underhill with a score of 32 points. Runner-up was Warren Wells with 31. B Grade’s best was Mike Carney with a six under par 34 leaving Brian Hudson runner-up with 32. Nearest the pin on the 5th were Peter Ragen for A Grade and Mike Carney in B. Nearest the pin on the 8th in A Grade was Trevor Rose and Vic Whitby took the ball for B Grade. Best putting in A Grade went to Roland Grimmitt with 22 putts and Jim Fairbrother prevailed for B Grade with 24. Our last game for the year will be on the 21st December and a rather fiendish novelty competition is being planned. Starters for this event will be Laurie Hamilton and Jim Cunnington. Our first game next year will be on the 4th of January and for the first two or three weeks we will be playing the first 16 holes on the course. This is to allow better access for the holiday making social players.
